Ashfall Instability
Every region has an Instability Score (0–6). Warped zones give disadvantage. Chaotic zones mutate spells. Collapse triggers boss spawns. The world fights back.
Ashmark Progression
Gain Ash Points from killing mutated creatures and surviving anomalies. Spend AP to unlock abilities — but every 5 AP triggers a Corruption Check. Power has a price.
Corruption System
Four stages: Flicker → Distortion → Break → Monstrosity. Your eyes glow. Your limbs mutate. Your voice echoes. Gameplay changes permanently.
Faction Control
Influence Scores, Agenda Clocks, shifting allegiances. Your choices reshape which faction controls the region — and who survives.
Heat Stack Combat
Unique combat mechanic: attacks stack Heat on targets. 3 stacks = Con save disadvantage. 5 stacks = 2d6 fire/turn. 7 stacks = ignition. Every fight escalates.
Dynamic Encounters
Three-layer generation: Base Creature + Ash Mutation + Environmental Hazard. A goblin that duplicates every 2 rounds in an inverted gravity zone. Every encounter is unique.
The Cinder Marches
A frontier region shattered by the Ashfall. Your base: Scoria Outpost — a settlement built in the crater shadow. Visit the Black Anvil for rumors, the Ashwell Chapel for healing, the Broken Compass Tavern for quests, and the Surveyor Tower for anomaly tracking.
